Roses taking over an orchard
Planted since 2002, this garden full of potential, half field, half orchard is host to a growing collection of old roses. Allow yourself to be amazed by the runaway charms of the amazing Gallicas, by the delicacy of the multiflora and moschata hybrids, and by the sheer exuberance of the climbers and ramblers which are slowly but surely colonising the fruit trees.
Choice irises and hydrangeas decorate banks and hedges throughout the year. Small shy cornus and a several Viburnums fill the flowerbeds either surrounded by perennials or left to reign alone. Follow the trail alone around the garden, or engage the gardeners themselves, Philippe and Ioana Caron, who will undoubtedly be there, next to the Ginkgo. And the “seven oaks” in all of this, you may well ask?
