n°19 Le Jardin des 5 Sens
Teurthéville-Bocage
Nature in its glory but a garden thats lived in
Nestling in a calm hamlet far from the bustle of road traffic, the 5 sense garden demonstrates an excellent use of space.
Since 2005, Catherine and Alain Bunel have planted copiously in two separate places, a small well exposed courtyard in front of their house, fast become an abundant mix of bananas and olive trees, hydrangeas and perennials. And then 200 m from the house, at the end of a long drive, a large sloping area, south facing and with the ubiquitous help of water, all manner of plants thrive. Fruit trees, vegetables, shrubs, climbers, grasses, a pond and its life … but also swings, and secret cabins because this is very much the play ground for the owners’ two small children.
