Cotentin côté cœur et jardins (16-17 June 2012)

CONCERT AT BELLENAU

On 16 and 17 June, Cotentin côté jardins is rallying together for charity. 20 gardens will all be open this weekend and on the Saturday evening (16th) a concert inspired by the Beatles will take place at the Chateau de Bellenau near Carentan. Proceeds will be donated to charity.

For nine Saturdays during the year, from March to November, come and discover the stunning botanical collection with Michel Peltier in Anneville en Saire, and finish up with afternoon tea in the garden.

From 14.30, guided visit of the garden followed by tea offered by the Tourist Offices of (OT) of Quettehou (02.3343.63.21) and Saint Vaast la Hougue (02.33.23.19.32) €3 per person for the visit and the tea. Bookings through the Tourist offices.

The garden of Clairbois has just been given the accolade ‘Remarkable Garden’.  This is an honourable distinction which recognises the efforts of two generations.  The first plants put in place were carefully chosen by Christophe Egon’s parents in 1964.

Until mid November 2011, and from the middle of March 2012, the garden and nursery are open from Thursday to Sunday from 14.00 to 18.00.  During the winter, only the nursery, which specialises in acid loving plants, is open every Saturday afternoon.
