L'Hôtel Breuilly

Besneville

The opulent garden of an 18th century manor house

breuilly_mai2011

From the north to the south side the wonderful stone walls of this beautifully restored country house are enhanced by the profusion of flowers and roses planted in an exuberant cottage garden style. Around the ruins of an old posting house, the atmosphere is more sober in the stone garden, and on the sunny terraces Mediterranean plants grow against the stone walls. On the other side, a prolific vegetable garden, chequerboard style shows off patches of vegetables and strawberries alike.
