Le Jardin des Bambous

Les Cresnays

Geese, peacocks and sheep among bamboo and flowers

Le Jardin des Bambous

The elevation of this garden gives it an outstanding view over the  luxuriant Sée valley towards the high ground to the north. Against a background of ever present  bamboos, a succession of enclosures for the geese, peacocks, pigeons, and sheep unfold  … Relatively young plants  (Rosa rugosas, kniphofias, flowering currants, brooms, geraniums, fruit trees and bushes) are scattered along the way.  To the west of the house, a stone composition  surrounds a small water feature, beautified by an ornamental purple Rhubarb with its striking leaves and flowers.
