Energised by Alain, the Société d’Horticulture du pays d’Auray  has an incredibly instructive and complete site available at www.hortiauray.com

On the site you will find detailed gardening advice, notably for seaside gardens, plant descriptions, and what’s on in the horticultural world of the Morbihan area of Brittanny.  The site also includes interesting reports on gardens visited  all over France by  club members   After its visit to the Manche  at the end of April last year, 7 gardens from the Cotentin peninsular  are described fully, including 3 members of Cotentin côté jardins:

Help with pruning, evenings on a given subject, garden visits, trips, outings and horticultural competitions are amonst la Société d’Horticulture d’Avranches’ varied activities. Talks are held in a hall at, 1 rue Saint-Martin in Avranches. Fleurs et Jardins du Coutançais

(FJC) This club organises garden visits and lectures. The association’s meetings are held in salle n°2 of the Town Hall of Coutances:

  • the first Saturday of the month at 14.30 during the first quarter.
  • the first Tuesday of the month at 20.30 during the 2nd quarter.

The lectures are free for members, non members have to pay 2 € admission fee.
